Q: What is so special about a Green cleaning?

A: In our Green Cleanings, we use only non-toxic cleaning products that are Green Certified to meet the EPA’s DFE program. These products are safe for you, your children, and your pets. What is really different is our commitment consistently exceeds our clients' cleaning expectations. All of our staff has been thoroughly trained to provide impeccable service. They are professional, courteous and consistently punctual. We pride ourselves in doing the little extra things that are unexpected.

Q: What are your rates?
A: Our rates range depending on type of Service requested. Most appointments are booked with only one cleaning professional, except for heavy Cleanings, which are usually booked with two or more cleaning professionals, depending on the size of your space. Discounted rates are available for clients who book with us on a recurring schedule. We know that our customers trust us not only with their facility but with their image as well. We understand just how important superior maintenance is to our customers.

Cleaning Rates & Procedures

Qualified Cleaning Pro Assistants:

For those requiring cleaning professionals without cleaning products or equipment, you can take advantage of our qualified cleaners for $72.00, for a minimum of four hours. Cleaning exceeding the 4 hrs will incur a $19.00 charge per hour for each cleaning pro. This package will require you the customer to have ready all necessary cleaning equipment and supplies to execute duties.

Small & Studio Apartments:

Our ratings and reviews speaks for themselves and they will tell you that we are the company that meets the needs of every client. This is why we have added this package to our cleaning packages, as small / studio apartments usually take less time than the average apartment.

(A) 3 Hours with Eco-Friendly Products, Paper Products, & Wash cloths: $110.00.
(B) 3 Hours furnish with Eco-Friendly Products, Paper Products, Wash cloths & Cleaning Equipment. (Mop, bucket, broom, dust pan & toilet brush): $155.00.

The cleaning equipment mentioned in packaged B, will be newly furnished and can be kept for future cleaning or disposed of after use. Additionally, if vacuums are needed, they can be rented for $18.00 dollars for the duration of your cleaning. Recurring customers with repeat cleaning programs will receive a free vacuum left at their facility. Cleaning exceeding more than 3 hours will incur a $29.00 charge per hour for each cleaning professional.

Regular Cleaning:

(A) 5 Hours furnish with Eco-Friendly Products, paper products, & washcloths: $135.00

(B) 5 Hours furnish with Eco-Friendly Products, Paper Products, Wash cloths & Cleaning Equipment. (Mop, bucket, broom, dust pan & toilet brush): $195.00.

In addition, the cleaning equipment mentioned in packaged B, will be newly furnish & can be kept for future cleaning or dispose of after use. Additionally, Vacuums if needed for any cleaning may be rented at a surcharge of $18.00 for a one time cleaning. Recurring customers with lock in cleaning programs will receive a free vacuum left at their facility. Cleaning exceeding more than 5 hours will incur a $29.00 charge per hour for each cleaning professional.

Move-In & Move-Out Cleaning:

Shield Cleaning Co. provides a unique move-in & move-out cleaning package; we will furnish all Eco-Friendly Products, Paper Products, Wash cloths & Cleaning Equipment i.e. (Mop, bucket, broom, vacuum, dust pan & toilet brush). For this service, a team of two cleaning professionals will be provided to perform all necessary interior cleaning. This  type of cleaning will cost $280.00 for the first four hours, & $29.00 for any additional hour per cleaning professional.

Convenient Cleaning Pack:

This package was put in place to facilitate those requiring more than just a normal cleaning, our convenient package has a 6 hours maximum. In this package all equipment & Eco-Friendly products will be furnish by Shield Cleaning along with two cleaning professionals. This package will cost $375.00.

Handyman Service:

There is always the need for extra help for example, when moving, redecorating or maybe for strenuous interior & exterior work, that’s why Shield Cleaning Co. has the qualified and diligent helpers that you may need, for as little as $55.00 per hour, for a three hour minimum, and $50 for each additional hour. Shield Cleaning and Maintenance Company's handyman services will be available for nearly any project. Our team of professional handymen are capable of doing any amount of small projects, including repairing walls, putting up shelving, painting, and any number of small projects you can imagine. Our professional handymen will show up on time, and well prepared in order to make sure you're satisfied with the level of work.

Post/Semi Construction Cleaning:

Locations where construction was recently done require a different type of cleaning, for example: over head cleaning, ventilation cleaning, window cleaning, etc. Shield Cleaning Co. took time to differentiate this type of cleaning and have the best team members enthusiastically prepared to serve you at any giving time. For $80.00 per hour, Shield Cleaning Co. will send out two qualified cleaners with a minimum of 4 hours to start & $70.00 for any additional hour

Commercial locations and other residential clients feeling that the packages mentioned above don't fit their needs, please contact us. We do not lock you in with contracts or commitments.  We simply book you for your time in advance and stick to your requested schedule.  Your time is valuable, so let us give you the time you need for more important things in your life!

Q: My apartment is really small (Studio). Do I need all 3 hours?
A: Our experience has been that three hours is the shortest amount of time in which we can complete a Green Cleaning for even the smallest apartments. Because our cleanings are so thorough, our cleaning professionals need the time to clean, scrub, and dust all the corners of your space. First-time appointments also take the longest to complete because our cleaning professionals are not familiar with the layout and condition of your space. When you book your first appointment with a Shield Cleaning customer service representative, you will most likely receive an estimate of how many hours we think we need to clean the in question space.


Q: What does a regular cleaning includes?
A: Our Regular Cleaning includes a thorough cleaning of all surfaces, floors, countertops, baseboards, mirrors, furniture, and windows (interior only). Unlike other cleaning services, our cleaning professionals will always clean corners and underneath beds and other furniture. We will move objects on countertops and shelves in order to clean underneath them. Our Regular Cleaning also includes kitchen and bathroom disinfection. We also provide our signature amenities of apartment aroma therapy and complete bedroom turn-down service.

Q: What is a Deep Cleaning?
A: Our Deep Cleaning service includes everything provided in a General Cleaning, and more. This cleaning is very intense and detailed, and requires at least two cleaning professionals. We clean all kitchen appliances inside and outside, including your refrigerator and oven. We clean inside your kitchen and bathroom cabinets and organize the contents. We perform a full dusting and cleaning of all bookcases and CD racks, windows on the inside  only, lighting fixtures and ceiling fans, ceiling moldings, and any other surface that might need cleaning.

Q: Do you do laundry and is it an extra charge?
A: We are happy to do laundry for you at no additional cost, as long as the facilities are located inside your building. Please be aware that laundry services usually add additional time to appointments, depending on how many loads need to be run. We ask that clients to provide their own detergent and money for the machines. Please be sure to inform the customer service representative upon scheduling your appointment and the cleaning professional of any special garment-care instructions.

Q: What type of products do you use for your Green Cleanings?
A: We do a lot of product research before making any purchasing decisions. We purchase only products that are non-toxic and made from naturally derived sources. We also insist on corporate as well as ecological responsibility, and we purchase only from companies who demonstrate this same commitment. We are also currently developing our own private-label cleaning product line and will soon introduce Shield Cleaning products to the broader market.

Q: How easy is it to get an appointment for a Cleaning?

A: Our office staff makes every effort to accommodate our clients' busy schedules. Availability for appointments varies depending on the time of year and the amount of advance notice we have to look into our calendar. We tend to get the most appointment requests for Mondays and Tuesdays. The spring and fall are the most popular times for Spring Cleanings. We advise our clients to schedule an appointment at least 48hours in advance.

Q: Can I have the same cleaning professional if I use your service on a regular basis?
A: We always strive to keep your Shield Cleaning experience consistent. Many of our clients become attached to specific cleaning professionals after even just one appointment! If you book a cleaning appointment with us on a recurring basis (weekly, biweekly, or monthly), we will schedule the same cleaning professional for each appointment. If your regularly scheduled cleaning professional is unable to make your appointment due for whatever reason, we will substitute another cleaning professional for the appointment if it’s okay with the client.

Q: Are you insured against damages? What about objects of sentimental value?
A: At Shield Cleaning, we treat your space as we would our own. However, in the event that an object is accidentally damaged, please notify our office within 24 hours of your appointment, and we will take action to provide compensation. We understand that our clients have sentimentally valuable items which may not be replaceable, which is why we take extra care in your space to be respectful of all your belongings. We are licensed, bonded and fully insured.

Q: What type of training does your staff receive?

A: All cleaning professionals must have considerable cleaning experience prior to employment with our company. We hire employees after a lengthy interview and orientation process. Each cleaning professional must complete several weeks of product and service training with our Quality Control Supervisors.

Q: Do I have to be home when someone cleans?

A: Most of our clients are not at the location during their cleaning appointments. Some clients let us in before they leave for work. Some clients leave keys with their front desk staff or have keys on file at our office. We have some clients who feel more comfortable being home for their cleanings. Whatever your preference, we are happy to make your experience pleasant and convenient.

Q: Will your cleaning professionals have a problem with my pets?

A: Many of our clients have pets, and we are happy to clean around them. If your pets tend to get anxious around strangers, it may be a good idea to keep them in an enclosed area until they become accustomed to your cleaning professional.  Our cleaning professionals are pet friendly!

Q: What is your payment policy?

A: We require all clients to keep a valid credit card on file in our office. We process all payments one day prior to cleaning appointments.

Q: Should I tip my cleaning professional?
A: While tipping is not required, it is customary for excellent service. Some clients leave cash or a check for their cleaning professionals; others prefer to have our office staff add a gratuity to their appointment payment.

Q: Do you offer discounts or promotions?

A: We offer a referral discount off your next cleaning when you refer a new client to our services. If you refer four new clients to us, you will receive a 3 hour complimentary cleaning!

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: While we are sensitive to last-minute schedule changes, we require 48-hours notice for all cancellations. Due to the high demand for our services, we charge a $35 cancellation fee for all appointments canceled after this 48-hour window. Because we process all payments the day before the appointments, we charge the full amount of the appointment if you cancel with less than 24-hours notice. If a Shield cleaning professional arrives at a scheduled cleaning appointment and is unable to gain access to your home, we are unable refund the charge for the appointment.
